In the course of researching High voltage isolators, we developed a fascination for industrial and technical ceramics. Because the ceramics usually drown in the complexity of their surrounding electrical apparatus, this precious, innovative material is commonly unknown to the public. As the material features characteristics such as a high durability, comparable to especially hardened steel, the idea to use it as a supporting element for furniture emerged. Inspired by an existing industrial device, which looks like a bone, the concept of creating a leg for a table developed.
