Mata

The vases, which resemble over-dimensional chess figures, are produced by the traditional process of metal spinning. Inspired by negative forms for industrial use, Assah, Mata and Fide were developed. When using several existing forms in new combinations, the eccentric shapes emerged, offering hardly any clue of their former uses. The effect is a technical look in warm tones, incorporating an air of industrial history.
